Today’s hat was simple but seemed to take forever to knit. I wanted to see how the hand painted yarn would pool and settled on stripes after a bit of experimenting. I kept picturing 1940’s head wraps as I was knitting this one but that may have been because I was watching a Fred Astaire Broadway Melody movie.

Yarn: Blackberry Ridge Sport Weight/ Colors: Cream and Tropical Fish
Gauge: 24sts and 28rnds = 4″
Size: Adult Large

I kept the crown simple and decreased at 10 points, every other row 6 times then every row 6 times.

I proclaim it: slouchy and fun.

Tomorrow will be something prim and then onto yarns that are heavier than sport weight.
